Yann Cléry is an Afropunk Amazonian artist based in Paris. With this album, he decided to redefine Guyanese music by mixing traditional drums and combining them with contemporary music. He composes 10 tracks and calls upon outstanding musicians. His album MOTOZOT offers a moving journey, from jazz to ragga, from hip hop to rock. It is with this spirit of openness, research and rebellion that he takes the flute on new paths and appropriates the texts of poets of Negritude such as Léon-Gontran Damas or Elie Stephenson.
